Jimmy & Laine

Jimmy Gauld and Laine Poole met in 1977, and within the first five minutes were exchanging tunes back and forth on one guitar. After a few years of playing campfires, high school assemblies, and weekend parties when the parents were out of town, Jimmy and Laine started doing an open mic night at the old Tara House Motel on Highway 31. Soon the owner recognized their potential and offered them weekends for a bartab plus cash. Over forty years have gone by, and after thousands of gigs from St. Louis to Budapest, numerous studio recordings and collaborative projects, they are reuniting for one night of mostly original music. If you remember Dugans, Daddy Rawshucks, Louie Louies, and, of course, The Back Alley, you won’t want to miss this special evening with Jimmy and Laine.
