Transforming medicine to meet your helathcare needs is what USA Health has been doing in recent years and we have only begun. We have created ways for you to access the expertise of the region’s only academic health system. We have expanded our network of care providers significantly. More importantly, these providers are strategically located to be more convenient to where you live. We have grown our delivery of specialty care for cancer patients with the Mitchell Cancer Institute Kilborn Clinic in Fairhope; for diabetes care with USA Health Endocrine and Diabetes in Daphne; for urologic medicine with University Urology on Dauphin Street; in primary care with Mobile Diagnostic Center at University Commons, and so much more.
Our plans for the Mapp Family Campus, located at the intersection of Highways 181 and 104 near Fairhope will provide primary care and specialty care for the state’s fastest growing county. Additionally, we have asked the state for permission to build a much-needed ambulatory surgical center at the location to further enhance the convenience for people to experience the academic healthcare difference available in our region only at USA Health.
A free-standing emergency department is under construction in West Mobile that also will have a full-spectrum of imaging capabilities. We are renovating University Hospital to add more than 60 patient care beds to meet the need for inpatient healthcare in our community, including those associated with the region’s only Level I trauma center, and the region’s first comprehensive stroke center. We are developing plans to renovate our pediatric emergency department at Children’s & Women’s Hospital, the only facility in our region that has the expertise of emergency medicine physicians specifically trained in pediatric emergency care. We will continue to grow our network of specialty care providers so that your healthcare needs continue to be met with the highest quality care possible.
This is how USA Health is working to fulfill its mission of helping people lead longer, better lives.
